Linda Saacks Biography
Executive Coach to High Potentials
I work with ambitious individuals who are open to personal and professional development (both face to face and online) to increase the impact they are able to make on their company and themselves, coaching them to contribute at their full potential. My work is informed by all the experiences below.

For 22 years I served as GM and Main Board Director at Pick ‘n Pay, a billion-dollar company, one of South Africa’s largest, employing in excess of 35,000 employees.

My area was Human Resources; Manpower, Compensation and Development. As Development Director I oversaw the creation of over 160 programmes, career advancement and training opportunities that significantly enhanced the skill set and career trajectory of Functional staff, through to General Managers and Directors. In my position as Director I observed, coached and participated in the executive functions of the Company.

I learned best practices at highly regarded business schools, locally and internationally and built development programmes with experts and professors from UCT, GIBS, Harvard, INSEAD and Oxford. I have been published in the Oxford Business School Journal – 'Designing interventions with a better chance of succeeding' - focused on sustainable change with high potential Executives.

I have completed several post graduate coaching courses, graduated with distinction, and am ICF (International Coaching Federation) approved.

My coaching approach is influenced in part by the following people -

Theresa Amabile – The progress principle, Angela Duckworth – The power of passion and perseverance, Carol Dweck – A growth mind set, Gerard Egan – Mutual understanding, Victor Frankl – Existentialism and the importance of meaning, Michael Hall – Intentionality pattern, Frederic Hudson – Adult meaning and renewal, Elliot Jacques – Stratified systems theory, Sue Johnson – Building relationships, Nancy Kline – The thinking partnership, David Kolb – Adult learning cycle, Sonja Lyombouirsky – Contentment practices, Daniel Meier and Peter Szabo – Solution focussed coaching, David Rock – Neurogenesis/brain plasticity, Carl Rogers - Client centred approach, Martin Seligman – Positive psychology.
